This month of January has really been about working my ass off..i have 5 works for January which translate into a lot of work and few time for partying..so i have been to friends place, having dinner, watching movies, talking, etc but not really out out.. and nowadays im always forgetting my camera so no photos to show..

last week went to christoph’s place because thomas was helding a brazilien party there..mainly austrian guys who are learning brazilien..it was nice to go out and not speak another language rather then portuguese for a change it was a small party and me and karolin (?) ended up singing floribella because she worked 6 months in Braga, with kids and she hated that show eheh so it was just about mocking it and having fun..

this saturday there was michele’s party for his italian friends at pfeilgasse.. a lot of drunk ppl, too many people in a small kitchen but it was nice nonetheless..ended up meeting Katalin which i hadnt seen for a long time and invited her to go snowboard/ski this friday =) she said yes! so me, her, ivan and clemens are going to snowboard this friday!! im soo looking forward to it..

yesterday went to Neulengbach and St.Pölten…it was such a nice and happy day =) *sighs*

and Mats is back in Vienna so prolly should be going out with him soon, as in, today..

and companies are starting to call me to see if i want to work for them.. eheh it’s nice =)

at this point we were near Berlin and i started realizing how cold it would be there because here it was about -12ºC.. oh yes

ok, so we got to berlin, went to alexander platz, entered the church nearby, kept walking and ended up visiting Berliner Dom.. a big big dom built because the king of Prussia wanted to show “something big” as in “im so good and great and rich”.. just like schonnbrun and every other palace that was built after Versailles that “had to top it” .. well, what did i make of it, really big, really impressive.. worth taking a look here’s a view from the outside and other from the inside:

During the first day we basically walked around the center of the “east” part of the city.. after having a biopizza for lunch eheh we saw a demonstration against Israel.. peaceful demonstration but with a LOT of police around..

and eventually we found out a lovely chocolate store also with a caffe..very nice hot chocolate there and some chocolate sculptures like these ones:

My xmas gift: a lying dinner @ Berlin.. nice huh? and the food was amazing!! loved it*

on the next day we took a tour, awesome tour, which took us to +- the same places we had been to the day before but this time with an historic view about it..we also went to another places like charlie’s checkpoint, bradenburg tour, etc.. it was really worth it.. so, in case you to berlin, take this tour.it was freakin cold, snowing, raining, snaiying (snow + rain lol) and by the end we were freezing but nevertheless, totally worth it! (it was always around -8ºC when we were at berlin.. )

Afterwards we went to Kreuzberg to have a nice lunch, lovely area, be sure to check it out if you go to berlin..

On the next day we basically went hoping around Berlin to see this and that.. we started with the biggest Berlin wall remain at East Side gallery..it’s about 1.3km long

then it was time to see the New Sinagogue and we had lunch on the BEST PLACE EVER at the corner of the street, very warming, nice food and pretty cheap definitely, go there to have lunch ifyou are @ berlin..its at the subway stop Oranienburguerstr., and the restaurant is just there…the new sinagogue..a little bit dissapointing to go in because its only a museum because everything was bombed and destroyed during war..

Afterwards we went to Reichstag, parlament. visitors tip: don’t wait 1 hour to get in, call the cafe at the dome and make an appointment..you can go to the coffee, pay 3 or 4 euros for a water and then see the dome without having to wait..i think it’s worth it and its a nice coffee anyway

ok..and on our last day it was museums day..we visited Pergamon Museum and Altes Museum..both worth it..in Pergamon museum you have reconstructions of real buildings inside, its awesome.. and on the Altes Museum its an egipt exhibition with the famous Nefertiri.

And it was now time to catch the train which was delayed 45mins.. we finally got on about 18h00 and got to vienna at around 8h00 in the morning..the trip was also delayed..so a long time on the train sleeping

I went to Portugal on the 20th of December for 11 days. 11 days even seems a long time but it’s really too short if you do all the things i did..

well, i was suppose to leave vienna around 11h, flight got delayed, left at 12h something.. so when i got to frankfurt i had only 3 minutes until my next flight..went to talk to one of the attendants to see what i should do and he was like “no problem, we have already booked you for another flight..to you go to zurich and then *pause*.. well, if i was you i’d try to catch this one” nice, huh? if i didnt catch my flight in 3 minutes i would go touring around europe for a day before i was finally at porto. so i ran, and hell, i ran! and when i finally got to my others flight gate it was D-E-L-A-Y-E-D cmon ppl, couldnt you have tell me this before? you made me run all the way through frankfurt airport and that ain’t a small airport, for sure!

anyway, got on the flight, arrived in porto and SURPRISE!! no bags..anyway i finally made it home

the next day i went to La Coruña (Spain) to see my horse doing a brilliant competition! she rocked and i loved it slept there because we were too tired to drive back home, the next day went for a short tour around town and came back to portugal..

tuesday @ porto, riding, etc etc, busy day went out with my friends for dinner and movies later that day

wednesday i travelled to Lamego for xmas..it was very calm but very nice family gathering different from usual cuz we usually go to the “other side” of the family for xmas =P

for back home on thursday…

friday @ porto..renewing passport, meeting with some other friends, going to uni to take care of some stuff, etc

saturday drove to benavente to see and ride my horse and was there until monday when i drove back to porto.. nice times, relaxing times, funny times playing wiiiiiii

tuesday packing, this and that..

wednesday wake up at 4h and get back to vienna! when i got here i was so wasted and so tired i had to sleep and rest for the whole afternoon..went for a house party @ night, had a relaxing and calm new years eve @silvester in Vienna there are SO MUCH fireworks, everywhere you look there’s a different one, its amazing but it was -5ºC so not really “welcoming” to party @ the streets..

the thing is i can no longer remember half of the things i did because  i was always running to here and there.. but well, it’s what i usually do anyway

so, christmas in Wien! it’s xmas Markets everywhere and lights and cold! did i say cold? yes, very cold!

there are 3 main x-mas markets (no time to upload photos now, sorry!):

• Rathaus – very pretty, very tourists-like, good for a walk and that’s about it..
• Spittelberg – more austrian-like, not as pretty as Rathaus but more “real” lol
• Schonnbrun – in front of the Schonnbrun palace, not that big, very pretty and nice to visit

another thing about xmas markets.. it’s basically about drinking.. they have 2 drinks for “winter”: punsch and glühwein.. a sort of xmas market to go out at night and drink is at Museums Quartier, also because it’s the only one thats oppened until “late” (about 23h i guess)..

more things.. there was a x-mas dinner at simmering! (actually there were a lot of x-mas dinners but didnt went to them all).. this one was very big and, yes, i cooked!

see? everyone is eating my “crepes” they vanished in less than 5 minutes! i was amazed!

x-mas is also about partying.. and there’s no place to party like Praterdome.. it’s a pretty big disco, with lots of different rooms: medieval style, austrian music, RnB, disco, bar-like, etc.. it’s a nice place to go even though i’m not much of a disco-fan this was the party after the simmering xmas dinner:

had another xmas dinner at Luís, also sort of a goodbye dinner to Mark and Mats (even though Mats will come to visit us in January)..it was nice but it’s always hard to say goodbye..

and as i promised myself, 1 cultural-thingie per week, i went to Burgtheater to see Romeo and Juliet which was such a big production! really not what i am used to back home! the stage was huge, the scenario, everything! and also went to visit StaatsOper.. the tour was a little bit shitty but ooooookay..

oh and yes, there was also time for another metro-party..everyone decides a place to meet and take the same subway and the same wagon and party during all the subway trip eheh

so as promised almost a month ago here are some pictures about the last roadtrip.. we rented a car, drove to innsbruck and visited the small town.. what can i say about it? well, thats it’s small and a bit dissapointing even though downtown is really pretty and it’s pretty nice to see mountains with snow everywhere you look around..

since we couldnt find a place to sleep at Innsbruck we went to Mösern which is about 20km away from Innsbruck! it was snowing when we drove there (fortunately our designated car driver was Mats, norwegian, so pretty used to driving with snow) i have to say that i really like the view of the snowflakes at night when you are driving, even though is quite dangerous..

it was a pretty nice hotel, played in the snow at night (lots! of snow) and they had non-alcohol punsch so after all the snow fights we sat in front of the fire drinking punsch and warming up the breakfast the other day was just FABULOUS so as the view! really “movie-like”, loved it!

because we were going to sleep on a “snow zone” we decided to ski/snowboard the next day..so, we went to ski at Seefeld (me and Luis did snowboard and Sandrina and Mats did ski).. fun but very painful! eheh it was the first time for everyone except for Mats (no wonder!).. then we drove home, got late to deliver the car, didn’t fill up the gas depposit and had to pay $$$$$$$ for it.. oh well, shit happens
